About the Artist

Everything you need to know about Vik herself!

Hello! I'm VIKTIIPUNK!

I've been a freelance artist for about 5+ years, learning new things about art and working on my own style! I mostly specialize in drawing adult art of pony and furry characters. In my free time, I spend most of my time sleeping in or playing games!

Q1. Can we be friends?

I'm an incredibly shy person, so there's a big chance I may struggle to form a connection with you! You could still reach out to me, but just keep in mind that I may not respond to you right away or at all; nothing against you of course!

Q2. Are you really married?

I am, and I love my husband very much!

Q3. Do you go to school?

I do! I'm currently working towards my bachelor's in Psychology. Though this school stuff really drains me and makes drawing in the middle tough.

Q4. Got any other hobbies or skills?

I used to write a bunch of fanfics way back when. Though I'm currently trying to get back into making music and learning to play the piano!

PONY - WRITER'S BLOCK

General Story:
Writer's Block (or Blockie) is a timid, anxious pony with a lack of self-esteem. She curls away in her room and spends most of her days browsing forums and playing games. She's often seen with a turtleneck and mismatched socks wrapped tightly against her form, hoping to hide all of her coat blotches splattered across her neck and legs. Her insecurity often gets to the best of her and she prefers wearing clothes that cover those small blotches, otherwise she freaks out and worries about what others may think. Due to her lack of trying, she doesn't really have a cutiemark. sad.

FURRY - VIK

General Story:
Meet Vik! The eyecandy behind my name. She's not your typical were-creature, in fact she's quite a unique one! Meet the weremule, half werewolf, half mule.
She may not be seen as the greatest wife in the world, but she makes up for it by providing loads of love in the house~

These refsheets are "outdated", here's her info!

Species: Weremule
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She / They
Age: Mid 30's
Sexuality: Bisexual

Occupation: Art Therapist
Likes: Plants, Drawing, Husband, Fashion, Gaming, Off-DaysDislikes: Spiders, Mess, Cold Weather, Missed Anniversaries, Lateness

FURRY - JAZZ

General Story:
Jazz is a complete and total representation of myself, or what most refer to it as a persona. She carries the exact personality traits, occupation(s), likes and dislikes, and many more traits that are alike my own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions regarding Vik's tools and more!

Q1. What art program(s) do you use?

I solely use Clip Studio Paint Pro for all my art and animating needs!

Q2. What kind of brushes do you use?

At the moment, I've been using the SOIPEN Brush, but generally I use the preset brushes from Clip Studio, with a mix of random brushes my friend's lent me.

Q3. What king of tablet do you use?

I currently use a Wacom Cintiq 22!

Q5. What text font do you use when making speech bubbles?

Back Issues BB!

Q6. How do you prefer I request a commission order?

I prefer if you submitted a form! It really helps me stay organized. Though if you strongly prefer, messaging me on Discord is also preferable!

Q7. Can I draw your OC or Can I draw my OC with you?

You definitely can!
I am always accepting of art of my characters. Though all I ask is you ask for permission for explicit art regarding my characters! Some fetishes may not bode well with certain characters, or I may not feel comfortable with it. So just feel free to ask me!

Q8. Do you ever stream?

I unfortunately don't at the moment. Only because I can't keep a proper schedule going, and because I get shy interacting with people. Though I do want to try in the near future!

Q9. Do you draw everyday?

I try to draw as much as I can with the heavy schedule I have! Being in school while also maintaining this job is really tough!

Q1. How do I grow my audience on Twitter/Social Media?

From my own experience posting on Twitter and following a variety of artists, here are some of the key factors in growing your audience (in order of importance):Fanart - Show/movie characters/Popular characters get a lot more traction than original content. Knowing what's the current trend, in terms of characters, can also really boost the algorithm.
Content - The type of stuff you draw needs to be engaging. For NSFW creators this means being able to draw appealing bodies, specific fetishes/body types, and cropping your images so that the focal point is easy to see when scrolling through Twitter.
Consistency - Putting out anything every 1-2 days is best, even if it may be a Work in Progress. Many artists make decent Patreon/comm. money even though they're not that technically skilled, but they have exceptional work ethic and market their content well.
Skill - Not as important as you may think, but it definitely needs to stand out! Style is very important to many and what stands you out in the wave of online artists! By improving your skill, you can 100% find your style.
Time of Posting - Between 9am-12pm on weekdays is primetime for social media engagement. If you finish something at night, make a scheduled tweet for the next morning. Still, posting outside of this time frame is better than not posting anything at all for the week.
⭐ Luck - I don't know where exactly to rank this, but it's super important. There will always be great art that barely gets noticed, and half-assed doodled that blow up on social media. The best way to get lucky is by trying more often. If your posts have only a 1% chance of going viral, you'll have better odds of going viral at least once in a year by posting 100 times than by posting only 10 times.

Q2. How do I grow my audience on Twitter/Social Media?

These are the average numbers I see when I post to Twitter consistently, as well as other artists who follow the tips I outlined above. Some posts will do better/worse than others, but what matters is the average. If you're seeing these numbers even when your follower count is small, you're on the right track!Likes - 5-10% of your follower count for fanart. This number tends to fall off for huge accounts (500K+ followers), and original content usually gets around half as many likes as fanart. The only exceptions I've seen are large accounts who've dedicated years to building up an audience for their original content.
Follower Growth - 5k-10k per month if you post consistently. It may take several months to get this rate, but once you do you should be able to maintain it.
If you feel you've been improving but you're still seeing way smaller numbers than this, go back to these tips and analyze what you might be missing.

Q3. How do I get into drawing?

Oh boy, my favorite question!Tracing - How controversial! Though tracing can be very important for artist growth and can help lead you to easily drawing shapes and forms!
References - Using references of models and animals can help a lot with your growth as well! Could even use references of objects to ease yourself into drawing bodies!
Studies - Dedicating a few hours a day to sketch/color out objects or poses is a great way to hone your skills in art. It also helps you gain momentum and lose that art block!
Shape 'em Out! - Anatomy is full of shapes and lines. Do some studies on how to shape each body part, step-by-step. Promise it's easy, and some artists will even put out tutorials to practice this!
Find some Artstyles - Got an artist you like who draws really good faces, but like the way another artist colors? Combine the styles! Doing this is another way to finding your art style and has been used throughout art history, even before digital art became a thing! It's a great practice method for you to grasp drawing as well.

a). general

Communication between artist and client is expected.Artist will always be as prompt as possible responding to communication and give clear expectations up front to client. Client is expected to reciprocate prompt and clear communication.Visual references are preferred but not required, other aspects (pose, mood, colors, etc) can be specified or left up to the artist’s discretion.Artist reserves the right to terminate client interaction at any time and for any reason should the client break professional conduct or in the case of lack of communication. Some cancellations by the artist may result in refund/partial refund to client, please see refunds/cancellationsIf the client wishes to be put on a “waitlist" then the client must be made aware that there is a $5 USD fee that permanently holds your spot until the artist has a spot available. If approved, your spot and request will be added to the queue. The artist opens commission slots when they are able to handle the work. Expected deadlines are always communicated to clients, and they vary by commission type.Payment is required before ANY work begins. Any quote for $100 or under requires full payment before starting, any quote for work $100 and over requires a 50% deposit before the artist begins working on the sketch, although full payment is good as well. If the client would like to pay only the deposit, please let the artist know beforehand as they do not mark invoices for partial payment automatically.Works in progress will be provided at the sketch stage. Beyond that can be provided at client’s request. Artist does not typically send more than the sketch WIP before completion unless requested. Additionally, corrections during the sketch stage are free of charge and welcomed. Edits past this stage may incur large fees, up to the base price of the commission.Expect a sketch within 1-3 days of order placement (if the wait time is longer, artist will have informed you upon initial communication). Final piece timelines are dependent on workload and schedule, the artist will provide an estimate when the sketch has been approved. Clients will be informed of delays and problems as soon as possible. Clients can contact the artist at any time for timeline updates.Errors that are the artist's mistake (were present in your references and missed, etc.) can be fixed free of charge even after commission has been completed. Ex: wrong eye color, forgot to add an item of apparel, etc. These errors will be fixed ASAP.

b). upon completion

Upon completion of the commission, the commissioner will receive:

- A large, full size PNG (minimum pixel length 1000)- Upon request, the commissioner can be provided a smaller PNG more suitable for uploading to the internet. This will normally include “Up”, “Upload” or “Resize” in the file name.- Upon request, the client is able to receive any raw file containing the layers of the work. However, the client is not authorized to make changes to those files and post them (i.e. recoloring to other characters) without the artist’s permission.- If the client has a pending deposit, the client will receive a watermarked version and be requested to send the payment in full. Upon payment, the client will receive the un-watermarked version.

c). rights & permissions

The client agrees that if they are commissioning the artist to draw original characters that do not belong to them, that they have gotten express permission from the character’s owners for them to be drawn by the artist, and that the content of the commission is known and approved of by them. The artist does not claim ownership of any intellectual property (characters, etc) depicted in work done unless otherwise stated (for example: Intellectual property created by the artist and requested by the client). The artist does retain full rights to all images produced and may showcase art produced online and elsewhere. The artist may use images in portfolios, sketchbook collections, as commission examples, and all other forms of self-promotion. The artist may sell commissioned images in mass art collections (i.e. digitally downloadable art packs, art cds, etc). However, the artist will not sell prints or any other merchandise of individual pieces containing or depicting original characters without client’s permission. If a client wishes to remain anonymous, their name can be omitted from postings online. If a client wishes their art not to be posted online or otherwise shown after completion, this can be arranged (for example: gifts, etc). However, please note that this arrangement to keep art private and unposted shall only last for a pre-arranged amount of time, or if none is pre-arranged, one year, after which point the artist is free to post the artwork. Please note that clients wishing their works not be posted must understand that they are also expressly forbidden to post or share the artwork they receive anywhere online. By doing so, they then allow the artist to post it themselves. The client may never claim work done under this contract as their own, redistribute it, or use it for any external commercial project. Non-commercial projects (for example, making prints of commissioned art but not-for-profit) must be discussed with the artist beforehand to confirm no profit will come from the artist's work to the client.Watermarks or signatures, when present, are not to be removed, erased, cropped out, or shrunk too small to be easily readable. If an image must be cropped or shrunk (for use in a profile, avatar, background, etc) credit must be listed in a visible area in a readable font with appropriate link(s) included (i.e. on twitter credit may be given in the user's bio).

d). ychs & adoptables

Payment is expected in full 24 hours after claiming or winning a bid, if client fails to provide information / payment in a timely manner the slot will be revoked and re-listed
Failure to pay or cancel in a timely manner can result in the YCH being relisted. This includes cases where the winner fails to claim their piece in one way or another. The second highest bidder may be contacted for an opportunity to claim if it isn’t re-listed right away.

b. Your Character Here (YCH)

Individual guidelines per listing usually applies, but unless specified otherwise there is usually no gender, species, or wing restrictions.
For best results, I do however recommend a YCH that looks like it would already fit your character.

c. Adoptables & Custom Designs

I still maintain the rights to all work I create in any digital, traditional or print form under the name Viktiipunk. Although, you can not falsely claim a designs’ origin or be deceptive by claiming work as your own, as proper credit must be given. You are free to share your design and related artwork on social media. If artwork is not made by me make sure to check the relevant artists' individual terms of service for their guidelines. If terms and service are not upheld your design rights will be revoked. This means the design returns to me to be archived and you can no longer use the character. You are effectively leasing the design. This is always a last resort and reserved for gross negligence.
